The graphic-novel chronicles of the superheroic Lunch Lady and her elementary-school devotees Hector, Terrence, and Dee conclude with a grand-slam episode pitting these good guys' wiles against every evil character previously thought to be thwarted. The school board has been taken over by the dark side, and all the good staff, save the mumbling janitor, have been dismissed and replaced. The kids sneak Lunch Lady and her sidekick Betty back into the school building, and with wild and wonderful help from the League of Librarians, the school and the day is saved. Gr 2-5-The crime-fighting Lunch Lady has been canned by the dastardly new superintendent, and a slew of thugs have united to take over the school in her absence. The Breakfast Bunch, Lunch Lady, and her cohort Betty must team up in this final volume to save Thompson Brook School for good. The only downside to this book is that it's the last in the series.
